§ 5-46. Reimbursement for hazardous materials or substances emergencies.
Any party or parties responsible shall institute and complete all actions necessary to remedy the effects of a discharge of hazardous materials or substances at no cost to the city. The fire chief of his designee has the authority to remedy the effects of a discharge of hazardous materials or substances by the fire department or by an authorized individual or firm. All costs associated with such remedy shall be borne by the property owner, operator or other person responsible for the discharge.
