§ 10-311. Special/commercial vehicles—Parking prohibited in primary zoning district; exceptions.

  • A special/commercial vehicle as defined in section 10-313 is prohibited from being parked and/or stored in any residential primary zoning district as indicated on the zoning ordinance map. Exception is taken to this prohibition in the following instances:

    (1)

    The vehicle is engaged in a permitted construction project in the zoning district or is engaged in routine pickups, deliveries or similar typical activities in the district.

    (2)

    The vehicle is engaged in bonafide farm operations as defined in section 4:2 of chapter 18 of this Code.

    (3)

    The vehicle is designed and operated in conjunction with typical residential purposes such as a home garden tractor or grass mower.

    (4)

    The vehicle is involved in a governmental purpose and/or performing an emergency function.

    (5)

    The vehicle is licensed as a school, church or non-profit organization bus or is a travel/motorcoach vehicle as regulated in section 10-312.

    (6)

    The vehicle is associated with and stored/parked at a permitted use or legally existing nonconforming use as set forth in chapter 18 of this Code.

    Any vehicle not found in compliance with this requirement will constitute a separate offense.
