§ 10-197. Parking when signal indicates time has expired.

It shall be unlawful for any person to permit a vehicle to remain or be placed in a parking meter space alongside of, in front of, or next to which any parking meter is placed, while such meter is displaying a signal showing that such vehicle has already been parked beyond the maximum parking time fixed for such space. Each time period, equal to the maximum time period allowed by the parking meter, that such violation continues shall be regarded as a new and separate offense.
