§ 10-6. Funeral processions.

  • When any funeral procession accompanied by a police vehicle or vehicles is passing along any street in the city with vehicles therein operating with lights burning, it shall be unlawful for any person driving any other vehicle to pass or break through or across such funeral procession by crossing any street along which such procession is at the time passing; provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to emergency operation of vehicles of the city police and fire departments or to ambulances.
