§ 9-62. Findings and purpose.

  • It is hereby found and declared that the reasonable regulation of health clubs is necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the people of the city, and that the provisions herein are ordained for the purpose of regulating the operation of the businesses, trades, or professions commonly known as massage parlors, bath parlors, health salons, health clubs, physical culture studios, or similar establishments wherein massage or physical manipulation of the human body is practiced.
