§ 6-2. Terms, conditions of franchise.

(a)

Any franchise for the use of streets, sidewalks, highways or other public property of the city shall be hereafter granted, extended or renewed for periods prescribed by statute or for shorter periods as the city council may deem appropriate.

(b)

The city council shall have the right to fix such terms and conditions upon which a franchise for the use of the streets, sidewalks, highways or other public property of the city shall be granted.
