§ 17-8. Water and sewer taps and service connections.

  • (a)

    Water service shall be considered to be available if the water main is located in the street, in front of the residence or adjacent to the property to be served.

    (b)

    All water or sewer taps on existing mains are to be made by the city crews or under the supervision of a representative of the city.

    (c)

    If water and sewer systems are installed by a developer where said systems are to be connected to city mains, the developer shall install water service connections and sewer service connections with cleanouts at the property line of each lot in the subdivision. The developer shall deliver water meters to the city prior to the acceptance of the system by the city.

    (d)

    Each unit within a multiunit complex shall be charged tap fees and connection fees in accordance with the schedule of rates, fees and charges.
