§ 12-54. Meetings; officers; quorum.

  • The parks and recreation advisory commission shall meet during the month of January each year for the annual meeting to conduct business consistent with the discharge of the duties set forth herein. The initial meeting of the commission shall be held within sixty (60) days following appointment of commission members by the city council. At the initial meeting and each annual meeting, the commission shall elect a chairman and a secretary from among commission members, who shall serve until their successors are elected at the next annual meeting. The chairman shall preside at all meetings. The secretary shall keep minutes of the meetings. Such minutes shall record members' attendance, commission resolutions, discussions, findings and recommendations. Such minutes shall be submitted to the city manager, who shall file them for public inspection. Other meetings may be called by the chairman or at the request of any two (2) members or at the direction of the city council. Five (5) members shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of taking any official action required by this article.
