§ 12-53. Composition and term of office.

The city council shall appoint nine (9) members who shall constitute the parks and recreation advisory commission. The members shall be residents of Kannapolis and be persons known to have an interest in parks, recreation and leisure-time activities. All appointed members shall be appointed to serve a three-year term unless filling an unexpired term of a vacant position.
