§ 10-37. Riding on part of vehicle not intended for passengers.

No person may ride on any vehicle or upon any portion thereof not designed or intended for the use of passengers, nor shall the driver of such vehicle permit a person to so ride. This provision shall not apply to an employee engaged in the necessary discharge of a duty, or to persons riding within truck bodies in space intended for merchandise.
